Time Kills Deals 

Many Estate Agency companies are telling me how hard it is to recruit great talent right now into their business, and sure enough its a candidate market.
Many Estate Agents are leaving the business leaving a talent gap, whilst many more are not ideally looking at trainees because there is the additional costs of training and they need good people ready to work right away.
This is what we have been working with in Property Industry Recruitment for the last 12 months. A lack of great talent.
Which makes me beg the question, when great talent does emerge – why are some companies taking a disproportionate long time to offer? Long recruitment processes not only put candidates off, but they are likely to be job offered by another more on the pulse company in the meantime.
My advice to the industry looking for talent is to ensure the decision makers are all at the interview. If this means second interviews are by Teams or Zoom then so be it, but be prepared to have a discussion after and move straight to job offer if you are clear you want the candidate in your employment.
Time is killing deals at the moment and companies are losing the best talent out there.
