Some advice for property professionals when job seeking – unless you are out of work, then maybe avoid the job-boards as a first approach and advertise yourself “off market” for a while……

Internal recruiters and talent partners are constantly searching job boards for talent – what happens when your company see you are looking for a new job? Either a difficult conversation will be had or worse no conversations and they think you have lost interest in your role and start to plan for hiring your replacement.

My advice is if you are thinking you want to know whats out there – then do it in a way that leads recruiter directly to you!

How? Use the LinkedIn platform properly and let the top industry recruiters find you, without exposing you are looking for a new job to your boss….

You Do not need to parade an “Open to work” frame on your profile, but if you go into your profile settings you can be “open to work” but allow it to be turned on to recruiters only. Then professional recruiters and headhunter like myself will see you are looking and reach out to you. NB – Dont forget to add your current email and phone number to your contact information and state what roles you are open too!
